Does anyone know if Printing 5 solves the problem of cached layers printing from the wrong cache scale level when using higher resolutions?
I'm curious if Printing 5 will solve the problem that the old printing engine had when printing cached services. It was tied to 96 dpi, so if you printed at a higher resolution (e.g. 300 dpi), it would calculate a scaling factor, and us it to grab a different cache level than what is actually being displayed. Wrecks havoc with cached symbology, and was very confusing if you have scale dependencies set up. Anyone know if Printing 5 solves this problem?
Thanks,
Chris

Yes and No. In Printing 5 we don't grab a different cache level when we print at high resolution. So the scale dependencies won't be an issue. If you are using vector tile layers then you will get a true high resolution output. However if you are using raster tiles for your cached layers these layers will still be 96 dpi in the output.
