Shapefile Layer Names Not Saving - Bug?

I came across an odd issue with renaming layers from uploaded shapefiles, after saving it as a project. When a layer is renamed, it looks fine and is good. I then save the project. Once I reopen the project, the layer is reverted back to its original name. The naming edits aren't saving. The layer name on the Layer List does not reflect the layer name is the Layer Properties tab once the project is reopened.

  Thanks for reporting this issue, it is being tracked as bug 19040 and it is unresolved at this point.
