Web Mercator distance and scale correction

What's the best practice for addressing the distance/scale correction needed on a printed map when basemaps are web mercator?

  Anyone else needing this fix with the new Printing capabilities? In our area the difference is big enough to need adjusting.

   

  Support indicated that it can be done through scripting within the Print template

  Has anyone else already added a script to the print template to account for this they you don't mind sharing?

  That's good to know. It's be essentially useless for us at mid-latitude. The difference is far too great for it to be usable. I'd be interested to see some guidance on how to set up the scale correction factor as was possible with GVH5.

  We'll be including an automatic fix for this in Printing version 5.4. The release should become available sometime within the next week or so. The release notes (https://docs.geocortex.com/printing/latest/help/Default.htm#prn5/help/release-notes.htm#What%E2%80%99s_New) will mention it as #35057.

  I applied the 5.4 update and it hasn’t changed anything regarding the scale bar being correct. @Amanda Frech?

  @Eric Kriener? We had another organization report this right away as well. I've forwarded this to our dev team and they're looking into it. I'll post another update once we have more info

  Our dev team confirmed there was a problem with the scalebar fix that we tried to implement in 5.4. We've already patched the cloud version on apps.geocortex.com to fix this.  For those using the on-prem version, we're going to provide a 5.4.1 maintenance release (hopefully in 1-2 weeks) with the fix.  Sorry for the inconvenience everyone!
