Add secured hosted feature layer on Portal to SaaS Reporting Designer as datasource, is it possible?

I'm using SaaS Reporting Designer and want to add a secured hosted feature layer on our GIS server federated with Portal using Windows Authentication. I'm wondering if it's possible, or I need have on-premises Reporting that registered with the Portal. If that's the case, do I need also install Geocortex Web Adaptor Extensions? thanks

  Hi Jack,

   

  You need to use the on-premises version of Reporting to be able to connect to secured federated ArcGIS servers.

   

  You need the Geocortex Web Adapter Extensions if your ArcGIS WebAdaptor is configured to deny anonymous access.

  @Jack Zhang? and @Ryan Cooney? Would you happen to know if this is still the case? We're looking at federating our Server and doing research on what we might encounter. We currently use on-premises 5-series products and are fine with it but have discussed using SaaS. Any info is much appreciated!
