Get Filter Expression from Web Map Layer (WAB)

Is there anyway to return a filter expression that is set up on a layer in a web map hosted in Portal or AGO? The workflow is being executed in a web appbuilder (WAB) application.

 

 

In more detail, the issue I'm trying to overcome is this. I have a workflow that allows the user to select a point from the webmap using a geometry picker activity. The geometry is passed to a query activity for the layer. The issue is that the query doesn't respect the filter set up in the webmap. If I can get the filter, I can construct a where clause to pass into the query.

  The 'Get Layer Definition' activity returns what I need. I had tried it previously but was using the wrong input for it.
