Issue Printing secured Portal services

environment is latest version of Printing 5 (on prem), Portal for ArcGIS 10.7.1, ArcGIS Server 10.7.1, Web App Builder 2.14.

Reporting 5 works fine in my WAB application; however, printing 5 doesn't. The map prints, but the layer geometry doesn't show up (on the map or in the legend). Weird thing is that the labels of the layer show up on the map even though the geometry doesn't and there is nothing in the generated legend (see attached printing output). Also, if i run the print with some features selected it draws the selection geometry...?!

Any thoughts? Is this a version compatibility issue? Zero clues when running the widget with Fiddler or Google Dev Tools on.
