An error occurred while rebuilding a data source schema

In the SQL Data Source wizard I am configuring a query parameter.  My filter is attached.  I am setting the 'Type' of my filter to 'Expression' and selecting a filter from the field list.  When I click 'Finish' I get the error 'An error occurred while rebuilding a data source schema'.  How do I find out more about this error?  Is there a log file somewhere that I can look at?

  The field that I am joining on is called: RDN_GIS_NEW.SDE.HOUSE.HOUSE_ID

  Is this field name too long??
