My CPU has been maxed out for an hour straight. Chromium Report resources are the culprit. 16GM RAM and 4 CPU. What is the deal. Any ideas for a different configuation?

Hi Jeff,
This is the first mention we've seen of this behaviour. A few basic questions: Is this a cloud-hosted VM? What is the OS version?
Could you try restarting your site in IIS and see if Reporting continues to use up resources?
Thanks, Stefan

I have restarted my Windows 2016 on prem VM several times and this behavior continues.

Hi Jeff, are you running any Reporting jobs at all, or are you observing this CPU usage when the product is idle? I would expect CPU usage if we're really doing something, but if it's just spiking the CPU when nothing is requested then that's an issue for sure.

Does anyone know anything more about this? We just had a bunch of these Chromium processes running for Reporting too. It really bogged our server down and made our application super slow. We're on the latest versions of everything VertiGIS Studio as of Aug 2025. I don't think we have any particularly large reporting or printing demands… It's been on and off over the past week or so. It's on an on-premise VM, Windows Server 2019. I tried refreshing the app pools and it didn't help.
Update: we ended up increasing the CPU and RAM on the server. I also used Workflow to limit how many features someone could run a report on at a time. It would error out if it is greater than 5.
