Open Web designer in 'draft' mode

Opening a project in the Web designer can be painfully slow, especially if the default map is a 3D scene, or if it contains many layers.
So, while it can be useful to work in 'live' mode inside the designer, I'd like to propose opening he project in 'draft' mode by default. In this mode, at least the map would not draw. Live mode could then be enabled by pressing a toggle button.
Other components don't seem to be that slow, but I haven't looked at it in details. Perhaps the Layerlist, the Scalebar etc. could be paused to.

Certainly something to think about. Ideally I'd like to solve the problem in other ways such as continued improving load performance for both Web and Designer.
If the end user's perception of the final application is that Geocortex Web is slow to load then there is still work to do BOTH for the Geocortex Web team in further optimization of load performance AND by those building applications to ensure they aren't including unnecessary layers, and that the layers they are including have reasonable response times.
I will however look at this and see if there is a way to load Designer without the preview. I can't see making this the default, but I might be able to offer a URL parameter to load Designer in this mode for those advanced users who desire it.
