How to save WebViewer to ArcGIS Online if on-prem WebViewer is tied to Portal

If you have an on-prem installation of Series 5 Web Viewer and that installation was registered to the on-prem Portal for ArcGIS. How could you save your web viewer to your ArcGIS Online instance? It would be nice to be able to save the configuration files to either version. Currently our Portal for ArcGIS is behind a firewall. I can see a need to save either to our ArcGIS Online account (public) or our Portal for ArcGIS (private).

  Hi Brian,

   

  That is an interesting idea! Could you please add this to the Ideas section?

   

  Currently, you'd need to export your app from either location and import.
