Subreports copy from one report to another - issue

I have so many issues with sub-reports. I am finding them incredibly unstable and as a result it is taking me so very long to set up all our reports.

If I add a subreport, create a parameter and then save it BEFORE adding a datasource, it corrupts and won't retain the datasource once I put it in. If I copy-paste a whole subreport it won't retain the datasource either. They don't automatically match the measurement units and page size of the parent, so copy-pasting elements like tables doesn't work until you change those settings.

One thing after another! I hope they work on the stability of the product over the next few releases

I have run into similar issues with subreports as well.

What works the best for m,e if I need to copy any subreport, is the following:

    1. Add a new subreport to my report
    2. Add a data source to my new subreport
    3. Go to the old report and open a subreport, and copy a content of the subreport
    4. Go to the new report and open subreport (make sure the data source was already added)
    5. Paste a content into the subreport of new report.
    6. By following these steps I have been able to successfully copy my subreport, and all the formatting seems to come over as expected.

    I hope that helps.
