Is it possible to block multiple instances of the same workflow

This is especially noticeable in Mobile, where the application and map can take some time to fully load. In the mean time, impatient users can start a workflow multiple times through the I Want To menu, which can lead to strange results.

What I noticed is that there will be several workflow icons in the lefthandside tab-bar, only one of which contains a disaplyform. The other ones show only a progress indicator.

Is there a way to prevent running a workflow multiple times, or can this be added to the app?
