Custom querying of attributes by users

Hi, currently there's no obvious out-of-the box option in Geocortex Web to enable end-users to query a layer based on attributes. Is this planned? It's a feature of the HTML5 viewers that's frequently used by our staff. Or is it a case of developing our own workflows? Or have I missed something?
