    Hi Melanie,

     

    I hear and understand the desire. At this time we are being very careful not to 'duplicate' configuration that exists in the webmap inside of Geocortex Web Designer.

     

    Just so you are aware of what you CAN do today.

    You can hide that layer from the layer list within the layer list component.

    You can disable identify and disable search on that layer in the layer extension under the map.

     

    This makes the layer a visual-only aspect of the map .

    You can do this now with a workflow on initialise. I have a webmap with 10 layers in it, all turned off by default. Then I have a workflow that runs on initialise that parses the URL - I add a parameter to the launch URL (like &LayerName=Trees) and then turn on the desired layer in the workflow.


    This way I can have one configured viewer and one AGOL web map that is able to be used for 15 different layers - no layer list shown to the user;
