I am having the exact same issue! I have all my steps documented for setting this up from less than a month ago in our UAT environment and I've gone to do it again today in our production site and it now won't work!

    Hi Cody and Belinda,

We were able to reproduce this error message but I'm not certain if this is the same issue. Portal will display this message if it doesn't trust the certificate the server hosting the Reporting widgets. If you import the Reporting server’s root and intermediate certificates into the Portal using the admin's SSLCertificates endpoint, this will resolve the issue.

I've noted before that changing server names or even upgrades of Portal can change some of the security configuration that was in place previously.

Does Chrome's Developer Tools display any messages in the Console when this error displays?

    Thanks, Stefan

Stefan Schweigert - I know this thread is 2 years old, but I'm having the same issue with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 and VS Reporting 5.17.  My issue seems to be CORS related as I'm getting the attached response in the console when I try to register manifest URL.  The cert for my portal is handled by our IT's F5 BigIP load balancer and not the actual portal machine.  Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Do you have any suggestions for this?  Or is it worth a support ticket?

    Hi Steve,

I would suggest a support ticket since load balanced environments can be tricky to debug without more details.

    Thanks, Stefan
