How to add scale text (ie: 1:2000) on print template
I used to have Essessials and in the Print designer I had a label that could use a data field called _MapScale. I am now using Geocortex Printing and I want to add the map scale to a printing template. How/where do I set up the _MapScale so I can have my map display a printed map scale such as 1:2000 or similar.

Within Geocortex Printing you can add the map scale control https://docs.geocortex.com/printing/latest/help/Default.htm#shr/help/scale-bar-control.htm?TocPath=Configure%2520Controls%257CControl%2520Reference%257C_____18 . By doing this the map scale variable is automatically configured.
If you're using Geocortex Essentials then you configure the print template within Geocortex Essentials Manager to define the default scales for the site. At the bottom of the Print Template's Map Scale tab, there's an option for defining the default map scale which you could set to 1:2000.

You need to add MapInfo control into your printing template and set its Type (Properties/Action) to Scale. You need to add a text label control "1:" before Mapinfo control in your template as it shows the number of scale. Mapinfo control will automatically configure your printing view scale.
