Feature service from our Portal is 'untrusted' and can't be saved to project

When using the Add Layers tool to search for and add a feature service from our Portal I recieve a prompt that it is from an untrusted source and can't be saved to projects. Trying to figure out why a hosted feature layer in our Portal is untrusted.

  We have the same issue, added layers from portal not saved in projects, did you resolve it?

  Nope, sorry. I ended up migrating that project to an Esri app.
