Global search - search on global ID

Hi,

The global search functionality is not returning results when I search on globalid. However, the layer and globalid field is included in the global search. Searches on other fields in the same layer are working fine. 

It seems to be an issue with the datatype of the field. Is this a bug or is there a different way to search for the globalids in the global search?

  It seems like fields of the guid type are not picked up by the search module to be added to the request to the service. Is this a bug? Or is this how it was designed?
