    Hello Denis Lapierre,

The "VertiGIS Studio Web Location" field is designed to store the location of your Web instance, eg. https://apps.vertigisstudio.com/web.  You can specify a single Web URL for each Portal environment you are deploying to, eg. Test, Staging, Prod.  When you launch a given deployed app, eg. Testing, via 'Three Dot Menu | Launch App' the Web Instance you have specified (for that environment) will be used to view the app.

Unfortunately, we don't (currently) support specifying multiple web instances in this field.

It sounds like you have already reviewed the docs, but here's the section regarding deployment options:

    https://docs.vertigisstudio.com/webviewer/latest/admin-help/#gwv/deploy-an-app.htm#deploy-the-app?TocPath=Apps%257CDeploy%2520an%2520App%257CDeployment%2520Options%257C_____0

    Hi Tom,

I think I may have just understood something.
The deployment happens only at the ArcGIS Portal level. Items are moved from one portal (dev) to the other (prod).
In which case (correct me if I'm wrong), there is no actual deployment happening at the VSW instance level, we input that url only so that when we click on the 'Three Dot Menu | Launch App' there is a url to use there?

    Hi Denis,

That's correct about the deployment, the app and any capabilities (reports, workflow, print templates etc.) are moved or copied to the next portal in the dtp chain, which would be prod, in your case.

And yes, when you deploy it doesn't affect the VSW instance, that URL is used to specify which viewer to load the app with.

    Regards,
    Tom
