Start workflow from arbitrary events

Three years ago I posted about exposing more events in the Web designer, and indeed in a later version, many were added.

Now, I'd like to propose a more generic way to respond to events: I think it would be useful to have a single (invisible) component that can be used in the designer to enter the name of an event, and a workflow (or multiple pairs of events/workflows). Whenever that event is raised, the workflow is executed. This way, all events would be supported, rather than a just selection of events that seem useful now.

(Note: This would be helpful in Mobile as well)
