Apply Filter Effect on MapServer Layer
RéponduHello,
I am trying to determine if it is possible to utilize the Apply Filter Effect command on a MapServer layer, or if it has to be done on a FeatureServer layer. I have been able to successfully implement the command on a feature layer, but cannot seem to make it work on a map layer. I have been toying with the syntax inside of the custom command to feed the parent layer name along with the sublayer id, but if this is possible I cannot seem to get the syntax correct.

Hi Brian,
Web is not yet supporting the Filter Effect on MapServer layer. It only works for feature layer currently. Once ESRI expands their support in this area for more layer types, we may be able to later enable more in Web.
Sorry for the inconvenience.2 -
Good morning Pairin Mason,
Thanks for confirming that for me! Based on what I was seeing on the ESRI JSAPI documentation page, that was my suspicion based on the verbiage that they were using, but it wasn't explicitly stated.
Thanks,
Brian
