Now Available: VertiGIS Studio Mobile 5.44
This release of VertiGIS Studio Mobile focuses on performance enhancements and platform modernization. We have dedicated this update to upgrading core APIs, optimizing JSON processing for speed and memory efficiency, and delivering critical bug fixes across map interactions, UI rendering, and the App Designer to ensure a smoother, faster field experience for end-users.
🚀 Technology & Performance Upgrades This release includes major updates to our core technology stack to improve rendering stability, memory usage, and platform compliance:
- JSON Engine Optimization: We have replaced NewtonSoft.Json with System.Text.Json across the application to significantly reduce memory overhead and improve rendering speeds. [355315]
- iOS Connection Enhancements: Optimized network checking routines during map panning [407773] and removed temporary no-cache technical workarounds for query requests [407966] to provide a faster, more responsive mapping experience on Apple devices.
- App Designer Modernization: Upgraded the App Designer's rendering framework to React 19 [387663] and implemented a more robust JSON validation mechanism to prevent runtime crashes on large app configurations. [349934]
Bug Fixes This release includes critical fixes that enhance stability and usability, with a specific focus on UI rendering, subtype data formatting, and App Designer reliability.
- UI Layout & Interactions: We resolved a critical issue where viewing Feature Details HTML popups containing SVGs caused cross-platform rendering failures and hard crashes on iOS [314780]. Additionally, we fixed an issue where the Android Log Viewer would completely freeze the screen when copying a log message to the clipboard [355297].
- Map Interaction & Data Formatting: We addressed visual issues where line feature highlights displayed unexpected extra midpoint points for subtype group layers [392610]. We also fixed a bug causing Result Details to display raw domain codes instead of proper human-readable descriptions for layers with subtypes [381901].
- Workflows & App Designer: The Send Web Request workflow activity no longer requires a manual token when using the ArcGIS channel [311717]. In the App Designer, we fixed a validation failure for datum transformation WKID 108457 in the coordinate settings [369642] and resolved a bug where deleted Additional Basemaps would stubbornly reappear after saving and reopening an app [309832].
