Now Available: VertiGIS Studio Web 5.42
This release of VertiGIS Studio Web introduces a highly anticipated AI-powered tool for administrators, expands geospatial data interoperability, and delivers important security and UI framework updates. Version 5.42 empowers administrators to build and troubleshoot custom commands using the new AI Command Assistant, while end-users benefit from the ability to import File Geodatabases (FGDB) and Esri Layer Packages (LPKX), as well as export features to GPX format. Additionally, this release includes numerous bug fixes across App Designer, data imports, and querying.
✨ New Features
-
AI Command Assistant: Administrators can now leverage a new AI-powered Command Assistant to effortlessly understand, build, modify, and troubleshoot Commands and Operations within the designer. To ensure accuracy and prevent hallucinations, the assistant is intentionally designed as a highly focused, technical tool rather than a general conversational chatbot; therefore, questions should always be asked in clear, full sentences. - File Geodatabase (FGDB) Import: Added support for importing File Geodatabases, expanding the ways end-users can upload and visualize rich, complex local geospatial data directly within their map views. [249862]
- Esri Layer Package (LPKX) Import: Added support for importing Esri Layer Packages, making it easier for end-users to load pre-configured layers into the application. [249870]
- Export Features to GPX: End-users can now export selected map features directly to GPX format, streamlining workflows that require transferring spatial data to external GPS devices. [364677]
🚀 Security and Technology
- Studio Workflow Update: The platform has been updated to integrate with Studio Workflow 5.51. [378900]
- UI Framework Updates: Upgraded MUI to v8 and React-UI to version 21.6.0. [369709, 370119, 369522]
- Annual Security Audit: Completed the annual penetration test and deployed fixes for the identified security items to maintain a secure environment for user data and field operations.
🐞 Bug Fixes
This release includes numerous fixes that improve stability across the platform. Key issues addressed include critical App Designer resolutions for a memory crash tied to the Map component's 'Refresh' button, unintended scrolling during drag-and-drop actions, and duplicate sublayer extension references. We have resolved data import and export issues, ensuring DXF files render correctly in local coordinate systems, shapefiles upload properly with specific arguments, and CSV/XLSX exports include all popup field lists. Querying and identify behaviors have been improved by fixing attribute expression casing mismatches, correcting GroupLayer minScale dependencies, and restoring the Buffer results command functionality. Additionally, this update addresses various UI and map behavior bugs, including missing label settings command chains, un-translated basemap info pop-ups, the improper handling of max scale constraints, and ensuring related records display successfully when multiple layers share the same Feature Class.
