Great news! The Release Candidate for VertiGIS Studio Web 5.42 is now ready, and our team has officially started the final regression testing phase. We are targeting Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, for the General Availability (GA) release.

This release focuses on bringing support to administrators with our new AI Command Assistant, vastly expanding data portability for end-users with new import and export formats, and delivering a massive sweep of quality-of-life bug fixes across Studio Web and the App Designer.

🤖 Intelligent App Configuration Bring next-level efficiency to your configuration workflows with AI.

• AI Command Assistant App Designer now includes an embedded AI assistant specifically designed to help administrators understand, build, modify, and troubleshoot commands and operations directly within the designer. (VertiGIS Studio AI capabilities require a commercial license for use. Please contact your VertiGIS account manager or reseller for more information.)

📁 Expanded Data Portability Empower your users to work with complex datasets and GPS data seamlessly.

• File Geodatabase (FGDB) Import A new tool allows administrators to configure FGDB imports for end-users. This enables users to easily upload and work with complex spatial datasets, including feature classes and attributes, directly within the application.
• Layer Package (LPKX) Import Administrators can now configure support for LPKX imports. This allows end-users to upload pre-configured layer packages, with symbology, structure, and configuration preserved for immediate use in the map.
• GPX Export A new export tool can be configured to allow end-users to export data to GPX format. The export supports tracks and waypoints, making it easy to use the data in external GPS devices and applications for navigation and field workflows.

🛠️ Designer Stability Improvements 

• Component Tree Stability We have fixed a disruptive issue where dragging and dropping components at the bottom of the tree forced an unwanted scroll to the top.
• Memory Optimization Resolved a critical issue where repeatedly clicking the Map component 'Refresh' button caused a severe memory spike and subsequent crash.

🗺️ Enhanced Map & Result Accuracy 

• Identify & Search The identify command now correctly respects parent GroupLayer minScale dependencies, preventing hidden features from being incorrectly highlighted. We also fixed errors caused by attribute expression field-name casing mismatches.
• CSV and XLSX Export Addressed issues where CSV and XLSX exports only included the first field list from web map popup configurations.
• UI & Symbology Fixes Fixed square style configurations being ignored for buttons and expand components nested within maps. We also resolved issues with un-translated language strings in basemap info pop-ups and ensured info icons appear correctly for newly created custom basemaps.

• Core Technology Updates We have upgraded our underlying frameworks, bumping React-UI to 21.6.0, upgrading MUI to v8, and updating our Studio Workflow integration to version 5.51.
• Clean Upgrade Paths Fixed an issue where demonstration print layouts were being automatically added to existing apps upon upgrading.
