Updating Branch Versioned Records using Workflow 5

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Branch Versioning and theoretically understand how it works and how to configure it in our ESRI Enterprise portal to make the services available to be consumed in our VertiGIS Studio Web and Mobile offerings.  When I test the feature services in ArcGIS pro, i'm able to edit both the default version and the version I specify in the update activity which tells me it's not my Enterprise feature services.

I'm currently struggling with trying perform a basic update action on one of our assets using a workflow 5 form, when I make a single change (add one day to the install date) and try to write it back to the feature service/version/geodatabase I keep getting cryptic errors like: “Invalid Call: To change the versions in a branch-versioned feature service, use the ServiceGeodatabase object” when working online and, “Invalid Call: Geometry updates are not allowed” when working with the app offline.
