    Hey Cam

I was wondering how we can avoid (or test) app before upgrading once we are in saas

Has anyone notice issue with geometry picker and forms. any forms include geometry picker stuck after submitting and it wouldn't run anymore.

    can you please check urgently.

Hey Davood Kazemi I cannot reproduce this issue. For example, I just updated our VSW Sample App to VSW 5.33 and testing with the Search Buildings example workflow (using the search by selection, which uses a Geometry Picker) gives me the expected behaviour.

I would suggest the best way to get this resolved is by submitting a support ticket to VertiGIS Studio Support and describe your issue in detail in terms of reproduction steps. If you have a public-facing viewer you can link to, even better.

From what I know, our QA team runs each release through a long series of automated and manual testing to cover each component in VSW.

In terms of how to test, I believe the App Designer Deployment Stages should allow you to retain a testing stage separate from production.

    Hi Gareth,

Thank you for your message. I appreciate the effort your team puts into the QA process. However, we often encounter issues when a new version of the web is released. As end users who rely heavily on SaaS, these issues impact us immediately. Many of us, including myself, have experienced the same problem, even with the Search Building example workflow (try search by buffer). we tried different browser and same issue

While we understand that support cases may not always receive the urgent response we hope for, I wanted to comment here to see if anyone else has reproduced the issue. Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hi Davood Kazemi, in reviewing the support queue, I'm not seeing the described issue reported elsewhere.
I'd really appreciate your logging a ticket (request) directly via https://support.vertigis.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and we can ensure a quick follow-up. Your partner Woolpert Asia-Pacific is also standing by and able to assist. Thanks, Peter

    Hi Davood Kazemi
Thank you for providing the GIFs—they are very helpful. I have been unable to reproduce the issue on my end, so it appears to be related to a combination of VSW 5.33, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 4.31, and a specific browser JavaScript engine. I’ve observed the expected behavior in Edge 131.0.2903.86, Chrome 131.0.2903.70, and Firefox 133.0.3.

Given the urgency of the issue, I recommend submitting a support case as soon as possible. As my role is focused on presales, I have limited interaction with the product and QA teams. However, the Support team has direct access to these resources and can assist you more effectively.

For efficient troubleshooting, please include the following details in your support case:

    • Browser & Version: Specify the browser and version where the issue occurs.
    • Operating System: Include your OS details (e.g., Windows 10, macOS 12, etc.).
    • Steps to Reproduce: Provide a step-by-step guide to replicate the issue.
    • Error Messages: Include any error messages or console logs (screenshot or text).
    • Recordings: Attach the GIFs you shared, as they will provide valuable context.

This information will help the Support team quickly escalate the issue to the product and QA teams. Once identified, the product team will triage the issue and determine whether it can be mitigated through workarounds (e.g., using an unaffected browser) or if a code change is necessary. Timely and complete ticket submission accelerates this process.

Please note that these forums are not monitored as frequently as the Support ticket queue, so submitting a case via the Support portal will allow for a faster resolution.

    Thanks, everyone.

I had two sessions with Woolpert, and they were able to reproduce the issue. I was told that the issue has already been escalated to VertiGIS. Any updates would be appreciated.

Davood Kazemi Thank you for your reply. This is Robert from the VertiGIS Studio EMEA Support Team. We have reviewed the case submitted by Woolpert and were able to reproduce the concerns. We are in contact with our development team to resolve this issue and will inform Woolpert directly via the support ticket.

Any news or updates on fixes for:
Fields from map service layers that are included in pop-up Text elements and include Arcade expressions fail to display. [304685] ?

Apologies for the redundancy as I do have a ticket open, but our organization is facing a pretty significant outage on one of our VertiGIS Apps and I strongly believe its related to this known issue item. Thank you for your time

    Kind regards,

Cam Barnard Any updates on bug 304685 Fields from map service layers that are included in pop-up Text elements and include Arcade expressions fail to display.

We are experiencing this as well, a custom arcade field in the Web Map popup throws a bunch of errors in Studio Web.

Apologies, I don't know how to locate the tech pages for bugs to see about status changes.

    Thanks!

    Jonathan

What do the errors look like? Are they stating #INVALID? After working with VertiGIS support, we found that our issue was different to the one posted in this thread. For your reference our bug has been logged as #311064, if you have a ticket open - knowing this might help narrow down your issue.

If you're using MapServer REST endpoints in your web map, our workaround involved republishing the affected layers as a feature service - and then referencing those ID's in the arcade expression. It was related to an ESRI bug: Solved: ArcGIS Dashboards Arcade Data Expression not worki... - Esri Community

Yes, we are getting #INVALID in the popup on Studio Web Apps where the Arcade expression should be returning a list of data. it works fine in the Web Map. We have not submitted a support ticket yet and assumed our issue was related to the one listed in the release notes. Perhaps a ticket is in order though, especially if you think its a different bug.

This sounds very similar to what our team experienced, if not the same!

    VertiGIS Product Changelogs

There was a fix pushed out in 5.34 that I wasn't aware of until now. If your VertiGIS is on-prem you might have to update, or perhaps use a workaround

Best of luck and I hope you can solve your issue soon.

    Tyler,

Yes! Our Arcade also has FeatureSetByPortalItem so #311064 seems relevant to our bug. We are on-prem, but didn't see 5.34 on the main Downloads page https://support.vertigis.com/hc/en-us/articles/9763845460882-VertiGIS-Studio-Web-Downloads

We will keep an eye out.
