Uploaded App Won't Save Due to Basemap Error
I just restored one of my VSW apps by using the upload tool and when it opened, the map component was broken because we'd just restored Portal for ArcGIS via WebGISDR. I created a new web map, applied it to the Map component and the app still wouldn't work. So I created a new Map component, dragged all the nested components into it, and deleted the old map component.
I go to save it and it gives me the following browser error:
This makes no sense to me because there are no errors with any basemaps anywhere in the WSW UI. I even deleted the basemap component that's nested inside the map component and recreated it. This did not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jack Charde that is likely a red herring, that error may be related to invalid app configuration created by that configuration change. I have been in a similar scenario and typically find it easier to start fresh and use the app as a reference to rebuild.
If you do need to reuse this app config specifically, I would suggest working with our Support team on restoring it.

Thanks for the response. I ended up doing exactly that: starting fresh, adding some components, and then I used the Get Configuration tool to import bits and pieces from the trouble app. I tested it and saved as I went and it seems to be one of my toolbars that was causing the issue. All now circumvented :)

Aha, yes - I meant to emphasize the Get Configuration tool. That does come in handy.
Glad you are back in business and that you even found the underlying issue. As you found, that basemap error was indeed a red herring! Not to make an excuse, error handling can be hard at runtime.
