Sharing an app with other organizations when portal is the identity store
Hello, my client's old GXE used sign-ins managed through the identity server and their new VertiGIS environment uses sign-ins through Portal for ArcGIS.
There is a GXE site I'm rebuilding as a VSW app, and I need to determine what my options are for enabling outside organizations to utilize the app without needing to have a Portal for ArcGIS account.
If I were to build the VSW app and all of the outside organizations happened to have their own Portal or AGOL, would I be able to share the VSW app through a collaboration group and have them access it? Or, does the access to an app via portal auth require that the portal VertiGIS is connected to be the sole source of user identity?
I believe the app does enable them to edit the data, in the form of leaving comments on certain features. I don't think my client has a ton of Creator user types to give out to other organizations, so that wouldn't be an option. And I'm assuming a Viewer user type can't edit data in a VSW app, correct?
Thanks!
