Basemap slider and picker issues with thumbnail, dependency on map component and other things not working ideally

We just got started with the basemap picker and slider after the MIME-type error got fixed for WMS layers (in these component) and is now compatible with Danish basemaps.

It is great, that this finally works and gonna enhance the users experience greatly! However, I have found 4 issues 

1. The thumbnails for the images only works on occasion. Sometimes it works perfectly fine however other times it displays as the image below.  The URL to the map still works when accessing it directly and it might work later in the day without having made any changed. 

Has anyone experienced this?

2. I found that the basemap picker has a dependency to the map component. I used the Get Configuration tool and got the configuration of the map from another app where the map component contained another web map. However this turned out to reset the entire configuration of the basemap picker. 

This might be expected behavior, however I do not believe it should be.

 As the configuration is set in the component and the entire configuration has to be set up manually, I do not see any reasons for this dependency. The basemap of the web map it self has to change to be the top one, but as it already does this without resetting the rest of the web map is changed in the map component, I do not see any reason for this dependency. 

3. When setting up a  series layers in a basemap series you  are prompted for required label (Etiket in this Danish translation) before adding the layer. However if the added layer is a WMS, the label does not follow the set label but is automatically taken from the item name of the WMS. Thus, you have to change the label back to what you actually want. 

This is not critical, but adds many extra clicks, confusion and annoyance in the configuration, if you have many layers (we have customers with 50 years of orthophotos in WMS-format)  

4. Additionally, it would be an improvement if the basemap of the web map did not have to be its own basemap in the basemap picker.  We have three different versions of a basemap, whereas one is standard. We would like to combine these in a series instead of having to have them all individually.
