Workflow Licensing Warning in Web Designer
Hey Everyone,
My client's IT dept just detached disks from the original VMs we'd been building out their VertiGIS apps on, and attached them to a new VM. I went in, updated the Portal for ArcGIS application item's redirect URI, and then ran the post installer for Web, Workflow, Reporting, and Printing. When running the post installers, I pasted the activation code to license (for posterity), and updated the Redirect URL to the new machine name.
Now, when I run a workflow from an app in Web Designer, I'm receiving the warning below. This is the first time I've received this warning, and Workflow is indeed licensed.

I also see the error in the browser console, and in the browser network tab.
The old machine was called azvertigisprd, and the new machine is called azvertigisprod. It appears that it's still trying to get the license from the old machine name. Has anyone ever encountered this?

I have tried the following:
- Create a new application item, and run the post-installer for each piece of VertiGIS software, using that new application item's App ID
- Update the Redirect URL in each post installer to match the new machine name
- Uninstall and re-install Workflow
- Restart the server
Nothing seems to work. Could it be that it's not a problem with Workflow, but rather Web Designer needs to be reinstalled? Thanks in advance.

Hey Jack Charde this is likely because you are using workflows that are ‘stamped’ with the old prd Workflow license URL. Whenever you save a workflow in designer, part of what gets saved is the license endpoint that we check at runtime.
Try opening the specific workflow in Workflow Designer, altering it (even move an activity around) and saving it. This should ‘restamp’ the license URL with your current URL.

Gareth and Nico, thank you both. I missed that article when searching around. I just opened and saved a workflow again (w/o making any edits), and now that warning has disappeared.
Hope you both have a great weekend!
