Erase tool like GVH

Can we have an out-of-the-box Erase tool or pre-defined Erase command like in GVH?

I can make an erase tool with the custom command chain below, but it does not erase everything such as note text "vgs-map-notes" - maybe this is a bug?

Also, it would be nice if this erase tool can be toggled and kept on (again like in GVH) so the user doesn't need to click on the tool button each time they need to remove a graphic.
