The snapping function does not recognise newly added features

I am currently building a feature add workflow that writes objects from the GeometryPicker to a feature layer. However, when the snapping function is activated via Studio Web (sketching.activate-snapping), only the features available at that time are taken into account. New features created after the activation cannot be snapped and are ignored.

Is there a possibility to refresh the snapping? Turning it off and on does not work. Refreshing Layers also.

  We've identified this issue and filed internal bug item 298194. Our product team's investigation revealed:

  • It's an issue with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript
  • Esri fixed it under BUG-000170734, to be released in SDK version 4.31, targeted for October 2024 (https://github.com/Esri/feedback-js-api-next?tab=readme-ov-file) 
  • This fix needs to be incorporated into a future VertiGIS Studio Web release

  The timeline for resolution is currently unclear.

  This feature seems to be working now in the current version of VSW VertiGIS Studio Web (Version 5.38.1)
