VertiGIS Studio Web - Unable to Enable Identify on Layers

We're in the process of migrating our old viewers from GEX to Vertigis Studio Web - we're at version 5.28.1. We are receiving the following error after attempting to Configure Layer | Enable Identify: “An unexpected error has occurred. More detailed diagnostic information may be available in the browser console. Please contact the site administrator if the problem persists.” 

When we check Dev Tools console, this comes up “TypeError: Cannot set properties of undefined (setting 'title')” as well as “[menu-item-model]: Error executing 'layers.edit-settings,layers.set-title,layers.set-task-settings,layers.set-popup-template' action from menu item with ID” 

The same error is thrown if we attempt to Disable Identify on a layer with Identify already enabled. Any ideas on what could be the problem? Appreciate any input.
