Enhance collapsible panels in workflow designer
Some small improvements to how collapsible panels work in the workflow designer:
- I have the navigator docked to the right, which is great, but the button to collapse/open it is located in the browser's bottom left corner. Maybe this could be changed to how things work in the Web viewer, with buttons on the panel itself:

- Occasionally I need more screen real estate, so it would be nice to have a collapsible toolbox as well
- Collapse the panel left of the toolbox as well (not sure what to call it, the one with File, Info, etc on it)
- If both the navigator (docked right) and the properties panel are opened, they take up a lot of horizontal space. Maybe these two could be combined in a a tabbed interface? This would be similar to the default Visual Studio layout, where Solution explorer, Git etc are all on separate tabs to the right of the editor
- After reopening the browser, the size of the panels is reset to a default value, could the actual size be remembered?
- Specific to the Navigator: It shows the name and description of the activities, but especially a Notes activity can have a long description. This causes a wide horizontal scrollbar (when docked to the right). IMO it is not necessary to show the entire description here, so maybe it could be truncated? It would also be nice if markdown formatting was used here

Berend Veldkamp These are all good ideas. I have an immediate workaround you can use for one of them. There's a secret keyboard shortcut of Ctrl-Alt-T for toggling the toolbox in the designer. I never got round to finding a nice way of invoking it from the UI, but I kept the shortcut just in case. It works whether you're viewing a workflow diagram or a form at the time, and persists between the two. It resets when you reload the page though.
