I have a similar issue when setting layer visibility inside Layer Presets. When I return to the app, layer visibility is turned back on/off and certain layers will be turned on by default which I didn't set. In my case I suspect it has to do with duplicate layer names in different groups or map services in the web viewer. I have a group set up as a workaround for Search with all layer visibility turned on.  I don't have a solution, but I put in a support ticket and will follow up if I learn anything.

I have been notificing similar behaviour. I will configure the search, identify, and query for idividual layers (or fields), and the next time I come back to the map, some of the settings are undone.

Heidi Suna I have a ticket opened for this and it's a bug that the VertiGIS Developers are aware of.  The reason why this is happening is if you created your Layer Presets and then you made modifications to the Web Map that is what causes the on/off behavior in the VertiGIS Layer Preset.  So the workaround until they get this addressed is to make sure you have your Web Map Configured the way you want it and then Recreate the Layer Presets by creating a New One and delete the old one.  Yes, that means you have to reconfigure everything in the New Layer Preset  Not ideal but at least there is a workaround until they get it fixed.

Erik Kuipers This issue is with the Identify enabled setting, you saw unexpected behavior with the layer visibility setting in 5.28: some layers again set visible after a save/refresh.

Just an update on this issue. VertiGIS confirmed it was a bug that was resolved with the release of 5.29 VertiGIS Studio Web.

    From their What's New page:

“Resolved an issue in Designer where refreshing the web map reset the field extension configuration. For example, whether layers were searchable or identifiable. [250668]”

We don't see the issue again so far. Hope it also fixes things for you all!
