Saving Projects
It looks like VertiGIS Studio Web only allows projects to be saved on a S3-compatible data store. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it hard to set up? We'd only be using it for this purpose, any idea of costs involved? I'm not sure how much traffic we'd generate, is it only when saving or opening projects or every pan and zoom in a project? Are there any recommendations aside from Amazon Web Services?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Hi Chelsea.
The S3 data store is only needed for the project sharing component, you can save and load projects to files anytime without needing the project sharing component.
If you haven't seen it already, we recently added some additional content around the project sharing component to the docs. https://docs.vertigisstudio.com/webviewer/latest/admin-help/settings-shared-projects.html
In general, you are only talking to the S3 datastore when you are saving/storing or loading/retrieving a project.
A good first question is, do you want your S3 datastore on-premises or somewhere in the cloud?

Cam Barnard Thanks for the clarification and doc link! That's actually perfect as is if users just manage their own files.

Hi Cam,
Our ArcGIS Enterprise and VertiGIS Studio products (Web, Workflow, Reporting, etc.) are all hosted in Azure Cloud. We would like to try the project sharing component but don't have experience to set up S3 compatible storage in Azure environment. Wondering if there is a KB article or something similar to guide us through the process?
Thanks, Michelle
