GeoCortex Essentials Expanding map layer groups leaves layer name artifacts on top of other layer names in Chrome and Edge browsers
Hello,
Expanding map layer groups leaves layer name artifacts on top of other layer names listed below them in our viewer (i.e. expanding the ROADS map layer group):
I was hoping that updating the GE & Viewer versions to 4.15.1 would resolve this issue. It did not.
Comparing the three popular 64-bit internet browsers: this issue occurs in the latest versions of Chrome(119.0.6045.106) and Edge(119.0.2151.44). This is not an issue in the latest version of Firefox(119.0).
I found a workaround this morning: hold down left-click the cursor on the banner of the viewer for a couple of seconds, release, and the will Debug Log appear. Close the log and then expand the map layer group. This step resolves the layer artifact issue in Chrome and Edge browsers.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Please advise.
Thank you,
-Steve Engle

Yes this seems to have started a few weeks ago. Will there be a patch to fix this issue?

Reaction from suppport:
We've got this filed as bug 245742.
We believe this is related to version 118+ in Chromium-based browsers.
There is a documented fix to use a start up Workflow that will close the dataframe and then reopen it.But:
We do not have any development resources tasked for working on Geocortex products unless there is a critical security vulnerability discovered.

Nico,
Thank you for your response.
Added supplied workflow file at startup to all of our map viewers and works as described.
Cheers!

I am having the same issue - before and after 4.15.1

Yes this issue is not solved in 4.15.1.
A temporary fix is to switch browser zoom scale back and forth.
The current workaround/fix for the issue is to use the startup workflow.
