VertiGIS Training Suggestions

This is a quick review and discussion space talking about VertiGIS training. My organization is a long time client/user of GeoCortex now moving into VertiGIS. My former colleague was the person who started development in GeoCortex over 15 years ago and I am managing and migrating all of our apps and Workflows to the new version. I took training in GeoCortex a number of years ago and recently took VertiGIS Studio Web and Workflow training. Both of these classes were great primers for beginners. One thing that could be beneficial providing a larger variety of use cases. Listening to Webinars for the discussing functional equivalences of VertiGIS from GeoCortex, I think spending more time on some of those topics could have been nice. Maybe there is space for advance topics that covers some of that but it felt like you assume some knowledge is common place. What are those functions that aren't the same? Another, area that was not discussed much was editing and the capabilities surrounding basics and how to consider leverage editing tools with functional processes for Workflows. Specifics to workflows, I think providing one use case to actually work on for a lab is how use and interface a WF into basic report and print templates.

  Hi Nico, I was encouraged to write this post from a VertiGIS solution engineer to highlight some potentials areas of improvement. I didn't explicitly state TeachMeGIS but as stated above, I've taken training.

  Thanks for the great suggestions of topics to create training for! As Chris mentioned, the classes we currently have available are geared towards folks that are getting started with the new VertiGIS Studio products. We are working on creating some higher-level classes, and the suggestions here will help us decide what to include in future classes.
