Allow exclusion of shape field

I have a use case where users are not allowed to see the exact location of a feature. However, in Access Control it is not possible to exclude the shape field.

I can imagine that removing the shape field from responses entirely may cause problems, but would it be possible to replace the geometry values with NULL?
