Add Number format to Number Slider form element

The Number Range Slider has the option to configure a number format. 

Can you add this to the Number Slider as well in the Form Designer? 
The property is already there in the background, we can get the desired number formatting using the load event and setting the property "displayFormat"  to "custom" and "customDisplayFormat" to "#" and this will remove the thousand separator from the Number Slider. 
Would be really appreciated if this can be configured, because we use the slider sometimes to select a year between 2020 and 2050,and a slider instead of a dropdown is more userfriendly.
