Editing feature template attribute

Why is it not possible to edit the attribute where the feature template is based on (Type in the screenshot below)?

In ArcGIS Mapviewer I can edit this attribute.

  Is it possible to add bulk editing to this tool like in Geocortex?  Use like an identify tool and use the edit tool
