Save/Open project - Object reference not set to an instance of an object
I‘ve got a Geocortex Essentials 1.5.2 application running on a WIN 2008 Server. I’m having trouble with the Save and Open functionality.
1) The “Download your project file and open it using the Open project command” with the Download button is missing from the Save project panel
2) I save a project with an ID, when opening it I get this error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object error
3) When I try opening a saved project with the project URL I receive Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Anyone stumbled into a similar problem? I guess the error has to do with security setting but where to start looking? Any help would be much appreciated.

Make sure that all of your layers have the "primary key" set 0 -
Thanks that brought me a bit further :-)
I’ve added primary key to my layers (except for layers coming from a WMS service) and the Object reference not set to an instance error massage has disappeared.
I’m still missing the “Download your project file and open it using the Open project command” and when I’m opening a saved project the extent is always set to max extent. Initially I taught that this behavior were caused by the WMS service but the situation is present even if I remove the WMS service from site.
Any suggestion on how to get the “Download your project file and open it using the Open project command” option visible?

Hi Sigurd, If Security is enabled for a site, the Download link is not available. This feature is by design, but I can't find any documentation on it. I'll submit a feature request to improve the documentation around the behaviour of the Save Project tool.
