Installation issues on 2008 64-bit
I'm not getting any sites appearing on rest interface. I've successfully gotten essentials running previously on our development machine which was 2003 sp2 32-bit. I'm going through the Quick Start and followed the steps. I've checked logs and getting very little has appeared in it. Just a warning about BusinessObjectsIntegration Create status: NoLicenceServers and two errors about map service 'Charlotte' is invalid or currently unavailable because they could not connect to the remote server (no general internet access on machine). If I re-save the site.xml no new log files are appearing in (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Geocortex\Essentials\Web\App_Data\Logs). The dates on current log files are 7 days old. I'm putting the site.xml in a subdirectory under C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites. I have rebooted server since install. We have got some time purchased to help set it up. But I would like the to at least have the Quick Start running beforehand.

Are there any test cases regarding installation of GeoCortex Essentials on VM Ware? 0 -
Hi Michelle, It looks like the Post Installer is unhappy with the site bindings it's finding. Can you fire up your IIS Manager, select your web site from the tree view, and click on "Bindings..." in the Actions pane, and show me what your bindings look like? Thanks! Hi Jordan, 0 -
I'm glad it's working for you now. I've successfully reproduced the error, here, too, and brought it to the attention of our installer team (GE-1016). We'll be addressing the issue in an upcoming release, and in the meantime, we'll know to advise users to ensure they have the expected bindings. Thanks for your help, Jordan 0
