point vs multipoint

Just a heads up for all of you that want to avoid huge headaches and lost hours spent banging your head.  It seems that GeoCortex Essentials 2.0 does not play nice in the sandbox with Multipoint feature classes.  Don't believe me?  Try using the 'zoom to feature' on a multipoint feature class...it won't work; you'll only get a blank screen!!!.  To avoid this, convert any multipint feature class into a single point feature class.  To do this, follow this link: http://resources.arcgis.com/content/kbase?fa=articleShow&d=29433   Hope this saves you alot of time and effort!!!

  Indeed this is a bug in older versions of Essentials.  It has since been fixed as of Essentials 2.4. Or Essentials 3.1 for AGS 10 users.
