Reports using REST

Hi, I am creating reports and would ideally like to include a map of the area selected. (I have included feature maps which are useful) but would also like to show an overview of all the selected areas. I know this hasn't previously been possible - just wondering if it is now possible and if so how much customisation this would require? Look forward to hearing from you.
