    Hi Jeff,

Some features have been deprecated in the recent release. See this thread:

    Hi Jeff,

If you've used Windows Explorer to extract the zip archive Windows has likely blocked all the DLLs. This does not seem to be a problem if you use other zip utilities like WinRar or 7Zip. You should be able to right-click on each DLL, select "Properties", and then click "Unblock". This will be a bit annoying because there are 29 DLLs and you have to do them individually. We'll have a look to see if we can package up the Designer differently to avoid this in the future.

    Hi All,

We've put a self extracting zip archive up on the downloads page. You'll probably get a warning from Windows when you try to run an executable that you've just downloaded, but Windows will not block the DLLs that get extracted. We'd be happy to hear any feedback people have about the standalone designers and how they are delivered.

On my system, I cannot run the .exe at all, it gives me an "not a valid win32 application" error.  do I need to be an system admin with priviledges to run this?

Jeff, likely the download did not succeed.  Be sure the .EXE it is about 5,620kb.  If it is significantly smaller, likely it downloaded an error page rather than the actual package.  I tested the download and it was successful.

FYI - I downloaded the ..EXE today (Oct. 31, 2011) and Windows 7 is still blocking me from running the self extracting exe.  I checked the file size and it seems to be correct 5,620kb.  I can go "Unblock" all the DLLs but a self extracting .exe would sure be nice.

    Bryan and Jeff,

We were able to reproduce the problem here; it was an issue with 32 bit machines. I've corrected the problem and updated the EXE on the downloads page.
