Geocortex Agent - CPU consumption
Hi
I want to find out why "Geocortex agent " service is constantly using CPU up to 10-20% (used by w3wp.exe), Once I stop the service the CPU is absolutely silent? I checked when no one is accessing the server.
Is there something we can do to keep it less chirping?

I am having a similar issue, except the offending process is Geocortex.Agent.Runner.exe. It bounces between about 10 and 40% CPU indefinitely (Resource Monitor says the average is about 24%). The strange thing is that we have a second server configured identically - as far as I can tell - and that one uses a negligible amount of CPU. I have tried turning off the database server that they are sending data to, and Server 1 continues eating CPU even though it's not communicating with the database.

I observe the same extreme cpu usage, but with optimizer, fleet tracker and application services in excess of 40% continually. I can stop all three and the agent service continues, that is until I stop the agent service through windows. v3.4 in use. What is it doing?

I was able to solve my situation by uninstalling Optimizer on the server, deleting the install directory, and reinstalling. We noticed in Optimizer's logs that it was logging the performance counter data once every second, instead of once every minute like we configured it. There must have been something wrong in one of our configuration files that was causing it to run the probe too often.
