    Hi Sandeep,

This feature will be available in the next version of forms (1.2). I don't have a timeline for you right now but it should be within the next few months.

We've also implemented a default button, so that if you press ENTER in a textbox, it will submit the form.

    Cheers,

    Christian.

Has form element focus been enabled yet? I'm searching for evidence of this, but am finding none.

What I need is for the autocomplete text box to have focus upon form load so the user needn't click the mouse in it before typing. If this is possible already, please explain how to do it.

    Thanks,

    Justin

Can anyone provide an update on this?  It's been over 3 years since it Christian said 'a few months'.

To meet accessibility requirements, we need to have the form open with the title or description field having focus.

Make that five years.  Seems like a simple question to answer.  Anyone?

    Hi folks,

The forms work that Christian was referring to introduced the ability to set the focus on the first item of the form and to allow the workflow author to configure a button to be the default -- i.e., the one fired if the user hit Enter. This was does as part of Forms 1.2, which was introduced in the 1.5 Silverlight viewer. This would have fallen between the 1.0 and 1.1 releases of the HTML5 viewer, but I cannot recall whether the functionality in the Silverlight API was ported to the JavaScript API at the time.

In the 2.4 HTML5 viewer, we introduced our accessibility module for WCAG compliance. In support of that, focus is always set to the first form element, if a form is displayed. Currently, there is no way to configure a form such that any element other than the first gets focus when a form displays.
