Reporting (Sub-report Configuration / Data Links)

Can anyone point me in the direction of any documentation around reporting in REST environment:  specifically i'm looking to understand configuration for a report which includes sub-reports that utlise data from a datalink.  

While I've got my report working, its was after trial & error with the Data\ReportName & Data\Tag fields.  Is there any description of these reporting parameters?

  This link is broken-could anyone forward the location of this answer?  and yes! I need the documentation on this as well.  I have a subreport that runs but I am getting an error when running the Parent report.  THnaks
