Out-of-the-box, or custom-made

Did the following directory get put on my server from the Geocortex install, or did I put it there:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\VirtualDirectory

Second, is this directory short-cutted by a replacement token string?  I found that {RestVirtualDirectoryUrl} isn't visible from everywhere in Essentials.
